How to pay for your order
Two payment methods are accepted on maxknives.fr:
- Bank card, via the secure Monetico payment solution provided by Crédit Mutuel–CIC;
- Bank transfer.
Your bank details never pass through us
Card payments take place directly within our banking provider's secure environment, over an encrypted connection. Your card number, expiry date and security code (CVV) never pass through maxknives.fr and are never stored there.
Of your payment, we retain only the method used, the transaction status and the reference given by the provider — enough to trace your order, nothing more. We do not collect your bank account details (RIB), your income or your financial situation.
3-D Secure
Depending on your bank, an additional confirmation may be requested at the time of payment: a code received by SMS, validation in your banking app, or a fingerprint scan. This is the strong customer authentication required by European payment services regulation. It protects your card against fraudulent use.
Payment by bank transfer
Our bank details are provided to you when you confirm your order. The transfer must reach us within ten days; after this period, the order is cancelled and the items are put back on sale.
Preparation of your parcel begins upon actual receipt of payment.
Fraud prevention
For certain orders, we may ask you for proof of identity and proof of address. These documents are used solely for this verification: they are viewed and then deleted.
We will never ask you for your bank card number, your PIN or your banking credentials, whether by email, by phone or by message. Any message asking you for this in our name does not come from us: please report it to us at info@maxknives.fr.
Products subject to age verification
Certain products may not be sold to a minor. For your first order containing such a product, proof of identity will be requested before dispatch. Full details are given in Article 2 of our general terms and conditions of sale.
Invoice
Your invoice is available in your customer account as soon as the order is dispatched. Prices are displayed inclusive of all taxes; the VAT applied is that of the delivery country.
