Overview

The MKSH2G10K opens the MKSH2 series, the four-point stars. The disc measures 52 mm in diameter and 1.5 mm in thickness, the material is G10, and it is the profile of the branches that makes the model interesting: the edges are not sharpened and the tips are rounded. The piece can be handled, picked up and turned over in the hand without any particular caution.

Starting out without getting cut

Learning to throw means repetition: collecting the star at the foot of the target, taking it back in hand, adjusting the position of the fingers, starting again. With non-cutting edges and rounded tips, those dozens of handlings per session do not cost you a nick on a finger. Attention then goes where it is useful — how the piece is held, the moment of release, the distance to the target — rather than to the worry of catching an edge. That is the essential difference from the MKSH1 series, whose branches are pointed.

Technical specifications

Four branches set around a disc 52 mm in diameter, at a thickness of 1.5 mm. The material is G10. The edges of the branches are non-cutting and the tips are rounded. The piece is cut in one part from the laminate plate, with nothing assembled. The diameter and thickness are the same as those of the MKSH1 series.

Care

A dry cloth after the session takes off the target dust; for a full clean, soapy water suits G10 perfectly, as it has no fear of damp. Dry it afterwards, working into the inside corners between the branches where water sits. Sharpening does not come into it here: the rounded shape of the tips is part of the model and stays exactly as it is.
