Overview

With its magenta braided paracord, the MKPCM is not looking to blend in. It measures 65 mm, weighs 11 g and carries a carabiner 10 mm in diameter that serves as the attachment point. Magenta, clean and saturated, separates itself instantly from a black or metallic key set. The braid can also be unwound to bring the cord back for other uses.

What ends up clipped to it

An ordinary day sends several objects through the same carabiner. Car keys first, the ones you want to find quickly. Then workshop or unit keys, often bigger and heavier. Then everything that orbits around them: a whistle, a small torch, an access pass unclipped at the door and clipped back on the way out. Magenta earns its keep at exactly that moment, when the right item has to be found without emptying your pockets onto a counter.

Care

Magenta mostly asks to be kept clean if it is to stay vivid: rinse the braid in plain water once it has been in use, leave it to air dry, and the colour regains its depth. Paracord needs no further treatment. Keep an eye on the carabiner by feel, checking that the gate returns without catching when a pass is clipped on and off several times a day.
