Overview

Red is the most visible shade in the range, and on the MKPCR the paracord is braided over 65 mm and finished with a carabiner 10 mm in diameter, for a weight of 11 g. Looks aside, this is a working accessory: the braid holds a usable reserve of cord, and the carabiner opens up far more than a plain key ring ever does.

Hanging your keys instead of putting them down

Keys mostly get lost when they are put down. The carabiner on the MKPCR lets you hang them up instead: on the hook by the door, on a peg, on a bag loop, on a locker ring, on the inner strap of a satchel. The set stays vertical and in sight, and red picks it out from a distance in a dim hallway or among other hanging items. Coming home and hanging up becomes one single motion, and where the keys are stops being a question you ask on the way out.

Care

Paracord asks for neither wax nor product. On the carabiner, which gets opened and closed several times a day in this sort of use, simply check that the gate still returns crisply and fully.
