Max Knives TIKNU3+ — One-finger anodised titanium tool, 78 mm

Overview

The TIKNU3+ brings colour to the large format of the TIKNU catalogue. Under the shade sits a block of titanium 78 mm long, 34 mm wide and 10 mm thick, pierced by a 26 mm hole. The anodising dresses the flat faces and the radii of the profile alike, while the tungsten carbide point keeps its own look at the nose of the piece. This is the coloured version of a group that, alone in the series, gathers a glass breaker and a bottle opener.

Two jobs in one body

The TIKNU1 and TIKNU4 groups are built around their tungsten carbide point, the TIKNU2 group around its bottle opener. The TIKNU3 group is the only one in the series to gather both on a single body, and its 78 mm go a long way to explaining why: length is needed to house the lever notch at one end and the point at the other, without either intruding on the finger's grip or on the 26 mm hole. One piece therefore covers two uses with nothing to fold out or take apart.

Care

Keep the piece away from sharp sources of heat: past a certain temperature the oxide layer keeps growing and the shade moves with it. For everything else, warm water, mild soap and a cloth settle the matter, sugary caps included. Chlorinated products and descalers are best left on the shelf. Once dry, anodised titanium is stored without special precautions, its colour fearing neither daylight nor time.
