Overview

The PACKBASTINELLIL reads as an extension: everything in the size M is here, with a third piece grafted on. The opening pair stays pocket-sized — the MKB1 Le Karamdrink, a compact fixed blade with a hawkbill edge, and the Bastinelli bottle opener. The MKB3 L Assaulyte changes the scale entirely: it is the large fixed blade of the line, 220 mm overall. The set therefore covers two very different formats born of one signature.

From pocket format to large fixed blade

Moving from M to L is not a matter of adding another knife of the same kind, it opens a different category of work. The MKB1 cuts by pulling, on 50 mm of curved edge, close to hand in a confined space. The MKB3 L Assaulyte brings 100 mm of clip point blade on a 220 mm overall length: that length lets you commit to the stroke, and the point drawn back into the axis gives precision out front. Between the two, the bottle opener stays what it is. Three pieces, three uses that never tread on each other.

Care

Three pieces, one habit: wipe before putting away. Rinse the MKB1 and MKB3 blades in clean water after messy work, then dry them at once; a cloth barely touched with oil, run along the edge, is enough to keep the steel between outings. Handles clean up with a damp sponge. The bottle opener, which spends its life around liquids, is better rinsed after use than simply dropped back into the box.
