Overview

The MKSH1G10K belongs to the MKSH1 series: eight branches in a snowflake layout, a disc 52 mm in diameter, 1.5 mm thick, all cut from a plate of G10. At the centre, a hole passes right through the piece. It is a quiet detail, but it is the one that decides how the star travels, how it is stored and how it goes on show between target sessions.

The lanyard hole

That central hole takes a thin cord, a leather lanyard or a length of paracord. Thread several stars onto one and the set travels as a single unit instead of scattering at the bottom of a bag; a knot is all it takes to hold them. The same hole lets you hang the piece from a nail, a wall hook or the strap of a bag, so you find it by eye rather than by feel. For display, the cord becomes a simple way to hang the star face on against a board, with nothing drilled and nothing glued.

Care

Run a dry cloth over the faces and between the branches after each session, then check the cord if you use one: it is the part that wears first, and it takes a minute to replace. The G10 itself washes with soapy water and dries with a cloth, no oil and no special product required. Dry around the central hole as well before storing the piece flat.
