Overview

The MKSH1G10M is the brown G10 version of the MKSH1 series. Eight branches radiate from a central disc 52 mm in diameter, the whole cut from a plate 1.5 mm thick, with a hole at the centre for a lanyard. Its brown tone, quieter than the other versions, stands out less against a wooden backing and gives the star a settled look, on the target as much as on a shelf.

A snowflake design

The eight branches of the MKSH1 series are not simply spikes set in a row: they form a snowflake pattern, each branch repeating the same curve around the central disc. That symmetry has a practical effect. However the piece lands in your palm, you find the same grip and the same distribution of material around the centre, so the gesture can be repeated identically from one throw to the next. Laid flat on a shelf, the same symmetry makes it a graphic object worth looking at head on.

The MKSH1G10M measures 52 mm in diameter, with a constant thickness of 1.5 mm. It has eight branches laid out as a snowflake around a central disc drilled with a hole for a lanyard. The material is G10 in its brown shade, coloured through the body of the laminate. The piece is cut from a single blank, with no screws and nothing added on.

Care

A dry cloth after each session is enough to take off the dust left by the target. For a deeper clean, soapy water poses no problem to G10: rinse, then dry before putting it away. Work between the branches, where wood debris tends to lodge. The laminate neither rusts nor dulls; simply keep the star flat, away from hard surfaces that could mark the points.
