Overview

The MKSKULL1 gathers twenty metal beads shaped as skulls and drilled right through so cord can pass. They measure 18 mm long, 28 mm wide and 11 mm thick, proportions that give a piece wider than it is tall, clearly modelled yet shallow. Their role is that of a finishing bead: threaded onto the end of a paracord braid, they close the work off and give it its character.

A wide, flat bead

The three measurements of this skull describe its outline: 28 mm across against only 11 mm of thickness. The bead therefore spreads sideways and stays pressed against the work instead of forming a ball at the end of the cord. On a bracelet it lies flat against the wrist; on a knife lanyard it does not fight the closing of a pocket; on a key fob it sits in the palm without bulk. That is the profile to remember when the bead will be worn in contact with the body.

Care

The metal asks for no more than a dry cloth now and then to lift the dust that settles in the hollows of the face. A soft toothbrush reaches the relief of the eye sockets with no risk of scratching the smooth surfaces.
