Overview

This pack holds twenty metal beads shaped as skulls and drilled to take a cord. Each piece measures 16 mm long, 28 mm wide and 15 mm thick. Those figures describe a compact head, nearly as thick as it is long, closer to a solid volume than to a plate. They are intended to finish a paracord braid, at the end of a bracelet, a lanyard or a cord.

A skull with depth

Compare the three measurements and the intent shows: 15 mm of thickness against 16 mm of length, which makes for a nearly cubic piece seen from the side. Where a flat bead disappears, this one stands at the end of the cord as a small object in its own right, with side faces deep enough for the skull to read from every angle. It is the one to choose when the bead should be seen rather than worn flat, on a hanging lanyard or a key fob.

Care

A thick bead presents more inner surface inside the drilling: after rinsing, shake the piece and let it dry with the hole facing down rather than lying flat. Day to day, a wipe with a cloth keeps the metal looking right. If the bead stays mounted on a cord that gets washed, clear the trapped moisture out of the channel before storing the whole thing. Steer clear of abrasive products, which attack the edges of the motif before anything else.
