Overview

The TINKNU9SK is the patterned version of the last drawing in the series. It keeps the 63 × 40 mm format, the 17 mm maximum thickness, the lanyard hole and the two side notches that serve as clips. The titanium is anodised and the body carries a skull motif filling the face of the piece. This reference too exists in several tones, each one giving the motif a different contrast and a different reading.

The skull, an old motif in cutlery

The skull did not arrive yesterday in the world of blades and machined metal. It turns up on rings, on carved handles, on workshop engravings, and it crosses fashions without ever quite wearing out. On the TINKNU9SK it gives the piece a face to look at: where the other TIKNU models play on machined volumes alone, this one offers a drawing you can recognise from a distance. Depending on the anodised tone chosen, the motif reads more or less sharply, dark colours marking the hollows, light colours spreading the light across the raised areas.

Technical specifications

Anodised titanium body, decorated with a skull motif. The dimensions are 63 millimetres by 40, for a thickness that does not exceed 17 millimetres. The drilling provided for the lanyard runs right through the piece. On the flanks, two notches play the part of clips. Several anodised tones are offered for this reference, to choose from.

Care

The motif cleans like the rest of the piece, without scrubbing: a soft cloth, damped with clean water if needed, reaches the hollows of the drawing, and a dry cotton bud finishes the job in the narrow parts. Use neither wire brush nor scouring powder, as they would wear the coloured layer on the raised areas. Then dry it completely, notches and lanyard hole included.
