Overview

The CEINTUREMAX was designed first and foremost as a carrier. Its snap fastener lets you take one buckle off and fit another by hand, with no tools and no stitching, which makes all the difference when you own several pieces and a single strap. It comes in 130 cm, adjustable, a generous length that sets to the waist you need. Leather is the only material stated for the strap, and it behaves the way leather does: it takes on a patina with use and gradually settles into the shape of whoever wears it.

Four buckles, one strap

This is where the belt earns its place: it is listed as compatible with four buckles from the catalogue, the FP2401 and FP2402 on one hand, the PA22B and PA22S on the other. The snap fastener opens by hand, the buckle slides off, the next one takes its place and the snap closes again. You can move from the golden brass of the PA22B to the silver chrome of the PA22S to suit the outfit, without buying a second belt, and keep one strap for a whole small collection of buckles.

No buckle is fixed to the strap: the snap makes the connection and makes the swap possible.

Care

Leather rewards routine. A soft, dry cloth run along the strap is enough to lift everyday dust, and a leather cream applied now and then in a thin layer keeps the material supple. After an outing in the rain, let the belt dry flat, at room temperature and away from any direct source of heat. Open the snap fastener from time to time so you can clean the section usually hidden underneath the buckle as well.
