Max Knives FPBR — Red bandana, 55 x 55 cm with karambit and motto print

Overview

The FPBR closes the run of three bandanas with its red version. The format does not move — a polyester square 55 cm along each side — and neither does the drawing: paisley covers the whole surface, with the stylised karambit and the motto « Faire et... laisser braire ! » at its middle. Colour is what makes the difference here, a plain strong red that remains the historic shade of the bandana and keeps it visible from a distance, folded at the neck or knotted onto a pack.

Polyester, a square that folds and is forgotten

Choosing polyester is no small detail for this kind of accessory. The fibre is light, it does not drink water, it dries in next to no time and it comes out of a pocket without keeping the marks: a square rolled up at the bottom of a bag for three days flattens out again in one gesture. It also holds print very well, which matters when the whole drawing rests on the contrast between coloured ground and pattern. The result is a 55 cm square you carry without thinking about it and pull out the moment it earns its place.

Care

On a red ground the rule comes down to two points: wash cool and use nothing that whitens. Put the bandana through the machine with deep colours, cold or at thirty degrees, and let it dry in open air; polyester gives up its moisture very quickly and does not lose its shape while drying. The first few washes are better done on their own, as with any brightly coloured textile. An iron set low is enough to take out a crease.
