Overview

The FPMTP3060 is the house's large mouse pad, done in black and red. It measures 30 cm deep by 60 cm wide, for 3 mm of thickness, and its smooth surface takes an optical mouse as readily as a laser-sensor model. Where the other mats in the range carry the karambit artwork drawn for the Fred Perrin series, this one sticks to the red brand logo on a black ground. A distinctly quieter graphic choice, for a desk you would rather keep calm.

Black and red, and nothing else

A mat 60 cm wide takes up a good share of the working surface: it is the largest field of colour on a desk, ahead of the screen and the keyboard. Which is exactly why a design that tells no story earns its place. Here the black ground soaks up lamplight and throws no reflection back at the screen, while the red of the logo reads once, in one precise spot. The format itself does not change: 60 cm of width leaves room for keyboard and mouse side by side, on one single surface. This is the large-format counterpart of the MKTP2530, the small mat in the brand's own identity.

Care

Black shows dust and fingerprints more than any other shade: get into the habit of running a dry microfibre cloth along the whole length once a week, a gesture that covers most cases. For a settled stain, use a sponge dampened with lukewarm water and a touch of mild soap, then rinse and let it dry flat and fully in open air. No solvent, no alcohol, no bleach: those products dull the red print.
