Max Knives FPBB — White polyester bandana, 55 x 55 cm karambit print

Overview

The FPBB is the white bandana of the series. Same polyester square of 55 by 55 cm, same paisley print running edge to edge, same stylised karambit set at the centre with the phrase « Faire et... laisser braire ! » — only the ground changes, and it changes everything. On a light base the drawing reads as a picture: the outlines of the pattern stand clear, the central silhouette registers straight away, and the square becomes the piece that draws the eye in an outfit rather than the one that blends into it.

Three ways to wear it

A bandana does not sit in a single category, and that is what makes it useful. Knotted around the neck, folded into a triangle or rolled into a band, it dresses the collar and pulls up when the wind gets up. Set over the head and tied at the back, it holds hair in place and takes up the sweat of a day outdoors. Wound around the wrist it becomes a plain cloth band kept within reach, ready to wipe a blade, pad a palm or tie something down on the spot. Its 55 cm sides give enough material for all three without ever building up bulk.

Care

A white textile mostly asks to be washed often rather than hard. Polyester takes a machine cycle at a low temperature; wash it with light-coloured laundry and keep it away from strong colours that might bleed onto the ground. Dry it in open air, flat or on a line, since the fibre holds almost no moisture and gives it up quickly. For a stubborn crease, a gentle iron does the job; steer clear of high settings, which glaze synthetic fibre.
