Overview

The MKBAMOR carries the MKBAM architecture on an 77 mm orange G10 handle, with a ceramic drop-point blade 51 mm long, 25 mm wide and 2 mm thick. The knife reaches 132 mm open and weighs 33 grams; the blade is held by a liner lock. Paracord and a kydex sheath with lanyard are included. Orange G10 makes it the version of the range you spot fastest once you have set it down.

A colour you find again

Orange here is not a decorative choice: it is the shade that stands out best against grass, soil, leaves or the dark bottom of a pack. A 33 gram knife gets put down quickly while you deal with something else, and an 77 mm orange handle is then spotted at a glance, where a dark handle means rummaging. It is the same knife as the other MKBAM models, with the same dimensions, the same liner lock and the same 51 mm ceramic blade, plus the one detail that matters most to anyone working outdoors.

Care

The ceramic blade needs no more than a rinse under clear water and a dry: it does not mind damp and asks for no oil. Orange G10 gets its brightness back with soapy water and a soft brush, especially after outdoor use. Rinse and dry the kydex sheath before putting the knife back in, and a drop of fine oil on the pivot keeps the opening smooth.
