Max Knives K30X60 — Black Kydex Sheet, 30 × 60 cm, 1.55 mm Thick
A black kydex sheet, 30 × 60 cm, 1.55 mm thick. This is the raw material you thermoform into a sheath or holster fitted to the millimetre around your own knife. Sold individually.
What it is
Kydex is an acrylic-PVC thermoplastic used for rigid sheaths. Heated, it becomes pliable; cooled, it keeps exactly the shape it was given, and keeps it indefinitely. That is what makes it possible to build a sheath that wraps one specific knife, with retention from a pinch on the guard rather than from a strap.
What this sheet makes
30 × 60 cm is enough for several pocket-knife sheaths, or one fixed-blade sheath with room to spare. The 1.55 mm thickness is the standard for knife sheaths: rigid enough to hold shape and retention, thin enough to form by hand without a professional press. For a holster or a wide piece you would normally go thicker.
In practice
Kydex forms at around 150–180 °C depending on thickness — a domestic oven is enough — then presses between two firm foam blocks while it cools, which takes under a minute. It cuts with a saw, drills and sands like a hard plastic. Plan for eyelets and hardware, which are not included.
