Overview

The MKZIP2 is a zipped case measuring 220 x 114 mm closed and 220 x 237 mm once unfolded. Its thickness goes from 20 mm closed to 10 mm open. A foam lining faced with velvet

Two materials, two jobs. The foam absorbs: it is what takes the knock when the case is put down a little quickly on a table or slid into the bottom of a bag with everything else. The velvet facing protects against nothing but prevents plenty: it is the surface in direct contact with the flat of a blade or a polished handle, where a rougher fabric would leave rub marks trip after trip. The inner pocket keeps apart whatever should not travel against the rest.

Care

The zip deserves a regular clean to pull out fibres caught in the teeth, and should be closed fully for storage so the case keeps its shape.
