Overview
The Black-2 is the other half of the black pair: the same 230 mm open, the same 110 g, the same steel and G10 build over 10.60 mm of thickness, but a blade ground as a tanto. It measures 105 mm in stainless steel, on a knife that folds down to 133 mm. Solid black handles, black blade: the whole thing is monochrome. The mechanism is pure butterfly, two handle halves on two pivots closing into a grip behind a latch.
Why a tanto tip
A tanto does not curve its edge all the way to the point: it runs it straight, then breaks it at an angle onto a second facet that climbs to the tip. That break creates a thick point, backed by all the material sitting behind it, built to pierce and to attack materials that push back. The Black-1 and its straight back blade keep the long, continuous cut; the Black-2 concentrates its work on the tip, with a 105 mm blade on a knife measuring 133 mm closed.

Care
Wipe the stainless steel blade as soon as it has been wet and put the knife away dry: that is the essential on a model of this kind. The G10 scales take plain water and dry with a cloth, while the black finish prefers a soft textile to any abrasive product. Each of the two pivots takes a drop of fine oil, spread by opening and closing the knife several times, and the pivot screws and the latch should be checked regularly.
