Overview

The MKSH2G10N is a four-point throwing star cut from G10, on a disc 52 mm in diameter and 1.5 mm thick. Like the rest of the MKSH2 series, its edges are not sharpened and its tips are rounded. Four branches on a disc of this size leaves wide gaps between the points, and that is what changes most in the way the piece is held.

Four branches rather than eight

On a 52 mm disc, the number of branches decides how much room there is between them. The eight branches of the MKSH1 series draw a dense snowflake, where each point sits close to its neighbour; the four branches of the MKSH2 open up wide notches between the points instead. In practice the grip becomes more definite: fingers settle into the hollow between two branches and the orientation of the star reads at a glance, which helps you repeat the same position from one throw to the next.

It is cut from a single plate, with no added parts and nothing assembled. The diameter matches that of the MKSH1 series, with four branches instead of eight.

Care

The wide gaps between the branches make cleaning easy: a cloth reaches everywhere without snagging. After a session, take off the target dust dry, then wash with soapy water if needed and dry completely. G10 does not rust and calls for no maintenance product. Store the star flat, in a pouch or a drawer, away from anything likely to scratch its faces.
