Overview

The PARA30PHV brings together 4 mm parachute cord and a glowing green shade, in a long thirty-metre run. It takes camp rigging like any other, but the bench is where it gives the most: the quantity on hand allows a run of braided items, bracelets, dog collars, knife lanyards, each of which keeps the ability to show itself in darkness.

Braided pieces you can find at night

Braided, this cord is no longer about tension but about retrieval. A lanyard fitted to a handle shows where the knife was set down, a pull on a zip is grasped without searching, a bracelet stays visible on the wrist while you look for the time or the torch. That is where the length earns its keep: thirty metres lets you fit your whole kit with small, consistent markers, rather than one isolated piece inside an otherwise invisible bag.

Technical specifications

Parachute cord measuring 4 mm across in glow green, in a 30 metre length. It stands out in darkness as soon as it has been exposed to light. This gauge passes through the beads and buckles intended for paracord, which allows a braid to be finished off neatly. All the outdoor uses of paracord remain open to it.

Care

Items braided from this cord are worn daily and get dirty accordingly: a pass under clean water, then air drying, is enough to bring them back. Treat the reserve the same way before re-forming the coil. A piece worn under a sleeve or kept in a pocket receives no light; bring it out into daylight now and then if you expect to see it in the evening.
