Overview

The KBGM is a storage case that holds 22 knives. The outer fabric is nylon, the lining is fleece, and three velcro pads hold everything in place. The double closure is backed up by press studs and a strap. The case travels by its handle or hangs from its two carabiners. All 22 slots are clear: 12 small at 59 x 120 mm and 10 large at 72 x 120 mm for big folders and fixed blades.

Moving a collection without the pieces touching

The real risk when moving several knives is not dropping them: it is contact. Blades travelling loose rub against one another, and the marks that stay are the ones nothing undoes, a scratch on a polished flat, a point biting into a handle. Here every piece gets its own slot, and the fleece lining cushions knocks while offering a soft surface against the sides of a blade. The double closure, the press studs and the strap keep the whole thing shut even on the move.

Care

Store the case closed, flat or hanging from its carabiners, somewhere dry: fleece holds moisture and knives should go in dry. The nylon outer washes in warm soapy water, the lining is best dusted with a soft brush. Clear the velcro pads of the fleece lint they pick up, which keeps them gripping properly.
