Overview
The P62B is the black version of the large balisong in the series. Its stainless steel handles are pierced by a row of aligned round holes, a single line running parallel to the spine of the handle and punctuating the dark tone. The 97 mm clip point blade, 2.3 mm thick, completes the picture. Like its engraved counterpart, it folds its 219 mm of overall length down into 121 mm and weighs 113 g, which makes it one of the longest and heaviest models of the batch.
From the first move to regular practice
The balisong is learned in stages, and a knife like this one covers the first two without changing hands. You start with plain opens and closes, handle by handle, never letting go: the aim is to work out which half traps the blade and which half becomes the grip. Then comes wrist work, where you discover that the movement is driven by the forearm as much as by the fingers. A 113 g model measuring 219 mm deployed suits that progression, because its length gives a wide, readable arc rather than a clipped one, and because its mass sets an even tempo. Everything after that is hours.

Care
Get into the habit of a quick check before each session: the two pivot screws, the latch screw, then an empty swing to listen to the rotation. It takes ten seconds and heads off surprises. After use, a dry cloth remains the rule on a black finish. As for the row of holes, it cleans more easily with the knife open, when the handles are apart and both faces are within reach.
