Flipper opening
The flipper is the fastest opening system that is not automatic. A small tab protrudes from the spine when the knife is closed; the index finger presses it, the blade swings out and locks. It all happens one-handed, with no thumb stud or nail nick to find, and with no spring mechanism — so without the regulatory constraints that apply to automatic knives.
The blade
One hundred and ten millimetres of 440C, single edge, silver finish. 440C is a high-carbon stainless: it holds its edge and sharpens back on an ordinary stone, without special equipment. On a blade this length that is the right balance between edge retention and easy maintenance.
The handle
Skeletonised along its full length, it lightens the knife and gives a secure hold. The belt clip allows a fixed, reachable carry, in a pocket or on a belt. Closed, the knife measures 134 mm.

Care
The point to watch on a folder is the pivot: compressed air and a drop of light oil twice a year keep the action crisp. Wipe 440C after wet use and close the knife on a dry blade.
