Max Knives TIKNU2 — One-finger titanium tool with bottle opener
The slimmest of the series: 6 mm thick for 69 x 33 mm and 26 g on the scales, in solid titanium left in its natural finish, with a 26 mm hole and a built-in bottle opener.
Overview
The TIKNU2 changes outline compared with the first group: longer at 69 mm, a little narrower at 33 mm, and above all far flatter at 6 mm. The solid titanium stays in its natural finish, light grey. The 26 mm hole lets the finger through and claims a good share of the length, while the bottle-opener notch is cut straight into the outer profile. The whole thing weighs 26 g, which makes it the lightest piece in the TIKNU family.
Six millimetres thick
This is the figure that sets the group apart. The TIKNU1 and TIKNU3 are cut from 10 mm of titanium and the Impact Skull models from 11 to 12 mm; the TIKNU2 stops at 6 mm. A profile that flat behaves differently day to day: it adds no bulk to a jeans pocket, lies flat against a wallet and weighs half what a Skull piece does. In exchange the length rises to 69 mm, so the hand still has something to hold on to despite the slimness.
Technical specifications
One-finger impact tool in solid titanium, natural finish. Dimensions: 69 x 33 mm. Thickness: 6 mm. Weight: 26 g. The finger hole comes in at 26 mm across. A bottle opener is built into the body. The TIKNU2 is the bare version of its group, also offered as the anodised TIKNU2+ and the crazy anodised TIKNU2+C, all three to the same dimensions.
Care
The bottle opener calls for a rinse: a sugary drink soon dries into a sticky film, and clean water lifts it as long as you do not wait. Dry with a cloth afterwards, the rim of the hole included. Natural titanium needs no oil and no protective treatment, since corrosion gains no hold on it. Greasy cleaners and abrasive products serve no purpose here and would leave marks in the matt grey.
Legal notice. Impact tools are restricted or prohibited in a number of countries and are frequently refused in aircraft cabin baggage. Check the law that applies where the order is delivered before purchasing.
