Overview

The TIKNU6+C is the loud version of the TIKNU6 drawing. The body is unchanged, machined 100 % from titanium, measuring 37 × 51 mm by 15 mm thick, with its tungsten carbide glass breaker and P. SUPPER's registered design. What changes is the surface: instead of one flat tone, crazy anodising runs several colours across the metal, blending into one another with no clean border. The reference is issued as a first run limited to 100 numbered pieces.

Crazy anodising: no two pieces alike

A plain anodised finish aims at one precise colour and tries to land it again on the next piece. The crazy version does the opposite: it deliberately lets tones cross, overlap and answer each other across the surface, so the result depends on the exact path each piece took. Two bodies treated one after the other never come out with the same colour pattern. The shop photograph therefore shows one example rather than a model to be duplicated, and the piece that arrives is the only one carrying that particular combination.

Technical specifications

The piece is machined throughout from titanium 15 millimetres thick, with an overall footprint of 37 by 51 millimetres. Its surface takes a multicoloured crazy anodised treatment whose pattern belongs to the example delivered. A tungsten carbide glass breaker is fitted to the body. The drawing, by P. SUPPER, is protected by a registered design. Distribution is by first run capped at 100 pieces, each of them numbered.

Care

The colours of a crazy finish come from an oxide film a few tens of nanometres thick: anything that wears the surface shifts the tone. A dry microfibre cloth covers daily use, with lukewarm clean water if the piece is dirty, followed by thorough drying. Leave household cleaners, spirit and dust-loaded rags out of it. The titanium itself minds neither sea air nor perspiration.
