Overview

Olive wood gives the P15OL what neither horn nor composite can: a contrasted run of grain, gold through brown, following the growth of the tree. The handle measures 82 mm and houses a 60 mm 440C drop point blade, the longest of the three versions in the series. Open, the knife stretches to 145 mm for 26 mm of width, 17 mm of thickness and only 60 g.

What assisted opening changes

On an assisted folder, a spring takes over as soon as the thumb has moved the blade a few degrees: the movement finishes by itself, decisively, and the frame lock drops into place immediately after. You keep a one-handed opening, without hesitation and without hunting for the wrist flick that a free-swinging blade demands. Paired with the belt clip, the knife goes from stowed to cutting in one continuous gesture.

Care

Olive wood has no time for dishwashers or soaking: clean the handle with a barely damp cloth, dry it at once, then feed it once or twice a year with a little wood oil or neutral food-grade oil applied on a rag. The grain regains its depth straight away. Mechanically, wipe the blade after use and place a drop of light oil on the pivot to keep the assist lively.
