Max Knives NS136 — 4-point throwing star, 420 stainless, 110 mm
Four points, 110 mm in diameter and a 3 mm plate of 420 stainless steel: the NS136 is a large-format throwing star in a silver finish, delivered with its belt sheath.
Overview
At 110 mm across, the NS136 belongs to the larger end of the NS series. Only four points, set well apart, draw a clean cross whose arms are long and clearly separated: the star faces the target squarely and offers an obvious grip between two arms. The 3 mm plate and the silver finish round out a piece built for throwing practice and for the display shelf alike.
420 stainless steel, the material behind the whole series
420 is a martensitic stainless steel: its high chromium content builds a passive surface layer that slows corrosion, while heat treatment brings it to a hardness that holds an edge through repeated impacts. That is precisely what a throwing star asks for, an object that hits wood, sometimes bounces off, lands in the grass and waits to be picked up. At 3 mm, as here, the alloy absorbs session after session and asks for little more than a wipe.
Technical specifications
Four-point star, 110 mm overall diameter, plate thickness of 3 mm. Material: 420 stainless steel. Silver finish across the whole piece. The NS136 comes with a belt sheath. No weight is published for this reference; the 110 mm and 3 mm figures remain the numbers to compare against the other stars in the range.
Care
A dry cloth after each session is enough to keep 420 in shape: take the wood dust off the tips, then the flat faces where fingerprints collect. If the star has been left outdoors, a rinse under clear water followed by careful drying beats putting it away straight off. A trace of light oil spread by hand protects the piece between outings, and the sheath is best left open while it dries.
Legal notice. Age-restricted item (18+). In France this is a Category D item: legal to sell but reserved for adults, with age verification at checkout. Throwing stars are outright prohibited in the United Kingdom, in Germany, in Belgium and in a number of US states, where customs will seize the parcel. Check the law that applies where the order is delivered before purchasing.
