What it is
A shuriken is a steel plate cut into a star, each point ending in a tip. Six points rather than four means the tips sit closer together and the object catches flat on a target more easily — the more forgiving version for a beginner. 420 is a simple stainless steel, chosen here for corrosion resistance and impact tolerance rather than cutting ability: a shuriken does not need an edge, it needs not to deform when it hits a board.
Throwing practice
Throwing is done on a soft-wood target, in clear space, with a backstop that catches what bounces. A six-pointed star sticks more readily than a four-pointed one whatever angle it arrives at, which is what makes it the model to start with. A collecting and practice object only; any other use is prohibited.

Regulations
In France a shuriken is a Category D item: free to sell to adults, with age verification at checkout, but carrying or transporting it outside a legitimate context is an offence. Abroad it is stricter still: the United Kingdom, Germany and Belgium prohibit it outright, and an order shipped there will be seized by customs.
Care
420 steel resists corrosion well: wipe it after handling and store it dry. A fine file brings the points back after a practice session.
