The handle pattern

The P50B handles carry a raised diamond grid, even from butt to pivot, like quilting. It is the most classic pattern in the series and the most discreet in rotation: it catches light uniformly, with no motif standing out. In the hand the grid gives a fine, continuous grip without any sharp ridge.

What the series shares

The five models from P50 to P55 share one architecture: a 98 mm 3Cr13 spear-point blade, steel handles, 117 mm closed and 215 mm open, two-pivot balisong mechanism with latch. Solid steel handles give this format mass at its extremities, which carries the rotation and makes the movement broad and steady rather than quick.

Choosing within the series

The P50B is the understated choice in the series: texture without a picture. If you want a pattern that shows in rotation, look at the P54 and its chevrons; if you want lightness, the P52 and its cut-outs.

3Cr13 spear-point blade, black finish, 98 mm long. Black steel handles in a diamond quilted pattern. Closed length 117 mm, overall length open 215 mm. Two-pivot balisong mechanism with latch. Weight approximately 100 g.

Care

A drop of light oil on each of the two pivots and a regular check of the pivot and latch screws, which work on every flip. The relief on the handles cleans better with a soft brush than a cloth.
