Overview

The MK115S announces itself through its silver anodised aluminium handle, a surface treatment that gives the alloy both its pale tone and a hardened skin. The 63 mm 12C27 tanto blade emerges from a 92 mm handle and takes the open length to 161 mm for a total of 85 g. Every piece is numbered, and the reversible belt clip lets you pick the carry side that suits the hand doing the drawing.

A knife that carries its own tools

Beyond cutting, the MK115S gathers three functions into its handle. The glass-breaker tip concentrates force onto a hard point, enough to star a side window with one sharp strike rather than pushing flat against it. The built-in bottle opener spares the edge from a job that rolls cutting bevels. The hollow hex key, supplied in four sizes, gets you out of trouble on bike, trailer or furniture hardware.

Care

12C27 is a stainless steel that likes being wiped dry after work, particularly near the sea or after contact with household products. Clean the anodised aluminium with clear water and a soft cloth, skipping abrasive powders that would dull the silver finish. Check the clip screws from time to time, since a reversible clip travels from one side of the handle to the other. One drop of light oil on the pivot keeps the opening crisp.
